IF all my other backups failed and I had to resort to using this to restore all my images, it would take roughly 83 years to copy it out at 1GB per month or $140 to get that 1,000GB out a little quicker…. The trick though is restoration - that costs $0.14 per GB, although the first GB per month is free. Currently that costs $0.012 per GB to backup to Sydney. Absolutely it would be even cheaper to just use Amazon glacier directly. It will not be my only backup of course, but if they hang around for more than a year or two I reckon it will be cheap insurance and I'll be in front. My plan is to use it to have another offsite backup for my photos. Got it for US$35.10 using the "FIRST10" discount code. To heck with it - after reading the previous deal and then finding this cheaper deal via StackSocial, I bit.
